KDP Select Vs. Wide

There are two popular ways to go about publishing online. One is to take advantage of Amazon's Kindle Select program, where you upload your books exclusively to Amazon and enter them into the Kindle Unlimited reading program, allowing for consistent royalties and exclusive advertising. The other option is to distribute your book through a variety of online publishers, including Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Kobo. This allows for more flexibility, but less preferential treatment.

Which option is right for you in the end?

I've put together a cheat-sheet for a quick comparison. There's no right or wrong way to distribute what you've written, so as long as you respect KDP Select's exclusivity period of ninety days, you can switch back and forth.
